Japan 2027 – Cherry Blossom Journey

Discover the beauty, culture and contrasts of Japan on an expertly arranged journey timed for the spectacular spring cherry blossom season.
Flying from the UK on 20 March, we travel through some of Japan’s most famous cities, cultural landmarks and scenic regions, including Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Hakone, Nagoya, Nara, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Miyajima.
Begin in Tokyo with traditional and modern highlights including a Kimono Wearing Experience, Asakusa, Tokyo Skytree, Ueno Park, Nakameguro and TeamLab Planets. Continue towards Mount Fuji and Hakone for breathtaking scenery, the Owakudani Ropeway, black egg tasting and a Lake Ashi cruise, before travelling onwards to Nagoya.
The tour then explores historic Nara, vibrant Osaka and beautiful Kyoto, where experiences include a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, the Golden Pavilion and Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.
One of the highlights of the journey is a thrilling ride aboard Japan’s famous Shinkansen bullet train to Hiroshima. Here we visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Museum and Atomic Bomb Dome before travelling by ferry to beautiful Miyajima Island and Itsukushima Shrine.
Throughout your journey, enjoy the reassurance of private air-conditioned transport, an English-speaking guide, organised transfers and included excursions and entrance fees.

Depart the UK
Meet your fellow travellers and depart London on your international flight to Japan.

Day 2 – Sunday 21 March 2027
Arrive Tokyo
- Arrive at Narita or Haneda International Airport where you will be met by our local representative.
- Transfer by private vehicle to your Tokyo hotel and enjoy time to freshen up and relax.
- In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel.

Day 3 – Monday 22 March 2027
Tokyo Highlights
After breakfast, meet your English-speaking guide and begin a full day exploring Tokyo.
Today's highlights include:
- Traditional Kimono Wearing Experience
- Visit Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple
- Browse historic Nakamise Shopping Street
- Visit Tokyo Skytree – 350m Observation Deck
- Lunch at a local restaurant
- Visit Ueno Park
- Explore the famous Nakameguro River
- Photo stop at Shibuya Crossing
- Visit the Hachiko Memorial
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel.

Day 4 – Tuesday 23 March 2027
Tokyo – TeamLab Planets – Mishima
After breakfast, check out and continue exploring Tokyo.
Visit the spectacular TeamLab Planets, an immersive digital-art experience unlike anywhere else in the world.
After lunch, enjoy photo stops at:
- Tokyo Tower
- Hie Shrine
Continue by private coach towards Mishima/Shizuoka.
Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before checking into your hotel.

Day 5 – Wednesday 24 March 2027
Mount Fuji & Hakone – Nagoya
After breakfast, depart for one of Japan's most scenic regions.
Subject to weather conditions, today's experiences include:
Visit Oshino Hakkai, famous for its traditional village setting and views of Mount Fuji
- Lunch at a local restaurant
- Ride the Hakone Owakudani Ropeway
- Experience traditional Owakudani Black Egg tasting
- Cruise across beautiful Lake Ashi
Continue onwards to Nagoya.
Enjoy dinner before checking into your hotel.

Day 6 – Thursday 25 March 2027
Nagoya Sightseeing
Enjoy breakfast before setting out to explore Nagoya.
Visit:
- SCMAGLEV and Railway Park, showcasing Japan's world-famous railway technology
- Nagoya Castle
- Nabana no Sato, renowned for its beautiful gardens and seasonal displays
Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants.

Day 7 – Friday 26 March 2027
Nagoya – Nara – Osaka
After breakfast, check out and travel towards historic Nara.
Visit:
- Magnificent Todai-ji Temple
- Famous Nara Deer Park
After lunch, continue to Osaka.
Enjoy free time at lively Shinsaibashi, one of Osaka's best-known shopping and entertainment districts.
Dinner will be served before transferring to your hotel.

Day 8 – Saturday 27 March 2027
Kyoto Sightseeing
Today we explore Kyoto, Japan's historic cultural capital.
Begin with a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony in Uji, including a Japanese chopsticks souvenir.
Continue to:
- Daigo-ji Temple
- Kinkaku-ji – The Golden Pavilion
- Beautiful Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
Lunch and dinner are included at local restaurants.
Return to Osaka in the evening.

Day 9 – Sunday 28 March 2027
Hiroshima & Miyajima by Bullet Train
After breakfast, transfer to Shin-Osaka Station and board Japan's famous Shinkansen bullet train to Hiroshima.
On arrival, visit:
- Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
- Peace Memorial Museum
- Atomic Bomb Dome
After lunch, travel by ferry to beautiful Miyajima Island and visit the famous Itsukushima Shrine, renowned for its iconic torii gate.
Return to Hiroshima Station and board the bullet train back to Osaka.
Dinner will be served on arrival.

Day 10 – Monday 29 March 2027
Osaka – UK
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out.
